It was an outstanding adventure from start to finish. Our guide, Joshua, and our cook/driver, Darwin, were exceptional hosts—professional, calm, and consistently supportive. Their knowledge of the region, the terrain, and the day-to-day logistics made the entire trip feel smooth and well-coordinated. I always felt safe and at ease, even during the more challenging sections.
The meals prepared by Darwin and Joshua were remarkable—far better than anything we found in restaurants. Every dish was fresh, generous, and made with real care, which was especially appreciated after long days of hiking. They also kept spirits high when fatigue set in, offering encouragement and pacing the group so no one ever felt rushed.
Transfers between destinations were handled efficiently and without stress. The timing, driving, and transitions were organized with precision, so we never had to worry about what came next.
Overall, the combination of thoughtful planning, skilled guidance, and exceptional hospitality made this trip unforgettable. I would recommend this experience without hesitation.

This was an amazing trip! Our guide was knowledgeable and supportive throughout the trip, and the driver/cook made sure we ate fantastically well. The trip is very well laid out and the transitions between hiking, biking, and paddling are very well managed. The routes taken gave us a great view of the many ecosystems, styles of living, and wildlife across Costa Rica. I'd recommend this trip to anyone interested in a great adventure, seeing many parts of Costa Rica, or both.

This trip was more than I expected in all of the many needed ways! The entire trip was planned down to every possible outcome. Matt was an amazing resource and offered great insight to what is hopefully many more trips to come! Don’t wait book your trips before someone else does or you will regret it!

Trip was awesome from start to finish. Great pre-trip (Penguins!) and post-trip (day in Santiago). Everything was well organized and run. W trek part was also amazing. Guides (Pablo and Rene) were very knowledgeable and super helpful and supportive. Eco-camp had great accommodations and delicious food! Overall, this was a fantastic trip!
