Final payment is 90 days prior to departure - this will be charged automatically to the credit card on file.

Group Discounts

As with all MRACX trips - the more people who join, the more savings. While the minimum group size is 8 for this trip, if we receive 11 or more participants, the pricing will reduce as follows:

Cancellation by Traveller

Cancellations made 91+ days prior to departure will incur loss of deposit.

Cancellations made within 90-60 days will incur a loss of 50% of the booking value.

Cancellations made within 59-0 days will incur a 100% loss.

Arrive Deer Lake - Transfer to Twillingate
Arrive before 230PM today and on arrival we will transfer to Twillingate - Approximately a 4 hour journey. We will check in to our hotel where we will overnight and prepare for the day ahead.

If you require accommodation in Deer Lake beforehand, please let us know and it can be arranged at an additional cost.

Twillingate - Iceberg Boat Tour
Today is the day we head out on the water to Iceberg or Similar.vel at 12,000-year-old icebergs, observe majestic humpback whales and watch elegant seabirds frolic along our coastlines. Relax as our friendly crew proudly introduces you to outport Newfoundland’s way of life, charisma and hospitality that attract visitors from around the globe. Our boat tour lasts approximately 2 hours, and we finish the day with a coastal hike to Long Point lighthouse before transferring to Rocky Harbour in Gros Morne for the night.

Gros Morne Hiking
Depending on the outlook on weather, our guides will give us a few options of the challenging hikes available in the area Gros Morne Mountain o rthe Big Lookout. They are all full 6-8 hour hikes and provide stunning views, and with our guides along there will be plenty of interpretation, stories and jokes along the way.

Gros Morne to Corner Brook
Today we are off to explore the Bay Islands of Corner Brook, not far from Gros Morne. Enjoy a leisurely morning before we transfer to Corner Brook which is approximately 1 hour away. On arrival we are jumping in a Zodiac to explore Woods Island. Woods Island is like no other place on earth. This remote island was cut off from the mainland, and for centuries, its residents lived in isolation. They fished from these shores and raised their families in the shelter of the magnificent Blow Me Down Mountains. Boat tour lasts approximately 3 hours with a picnic lunch.

Hiking the Bay Islands + Local Lobster Boil
Embark on a 4-5 hour guided hike showcasing the stunning landscapes around Corner Brook on the blow me down hiking trail. Conclude the day with a memorable outdoor lobster dinner prepared with local ingredients at the Saltbox Restaurant overlooking the Bay. Enjoy fresh seafood and some local music as you celebrate your final day in Newfoundland.

The trip to Newfoundland was a one-of-a-kind experience that Matt curated through his network of superb connections. The trip checked all of the boxes and provided a unique look at Newfoundland. There is so much more to see and do, and I'm looking forward to returning and exploring Newfoundland further.

We saw so many wonderful sites. Accommodation ranged from outstanding to clean and adequate. Our driver was excellent. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. Altogether it was a superb way to see and experience Ireland!

We had a great trip, though i must say it was very busy, a lot of kilometers to cover but all the hotels supplied were excellent , every facility had a great breakfast. Ilona, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very patient with our group. The only complaint is nothing to do with the tour itself, just that there was so much to do and see, we got behind schedule many times and some locations we had to spend less time exploring before having to head off to the next stop. I did not have a lot of contact with WETRAVEL in terms of the organization of it, but there are no complaints as to the content of the tour

We had a great trip. We were taken to some wonderful places. The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The driver was very good. For the most part the hotels were good. Some suboptimal in location and room size. We couldn’t visit some places because of events taking place there and the guide was unaware of. It was an ambitious and whirlwind tour.

Hey Matt, we had a great time, lots of things to do and see, learned the culinary cuisine, local facts, history of the country and got to experience some truly epic experiences. It was so awesome! Every day was filled with a new adventure! Our guide Marcelo and our driver, Juan, were amazing! Made the trip much more enjoyable. There were just two drawbacks. First, there was a lot of driving. I’m thinking we could have stayed at the home stay an extra night and skipped the spa as it was a 4 hour drive to the spa, and we only stayed one night, then we drove back to Quito to catch the flight to Puerto Lopez. If we stayed at the home stay, we could have climbed other waterfalls in the canyon? Potentially? Or done something else close by. Second, the budgeted amount for food and drink was too low as it didn’t accommodate for tips for our driver or our guide. They did a lot, so I paid $110 for our guide and $70 for our driver. And I also paid more than others, which I didn’t think was fair. It was my choice but the way it was communicated to us on how to tip naturally meant some people would pay more than others. On next trips, it should be clearly noted that $8-$10 min/day is required for tips, for each guide, especially if they are accompanying us on all events and excursions, which ours did. Oh, and the temps were a bit off.. it was colder on more days than expected so I’d recommend taking half and half for clothes (half warm stuff for the cold, have cool stuff for the heat) if you’re planning this trip for others. Other than that, it was good.
