This isn’t your average trek — it’s an odyssey you won't ever forget!
Over the course of 11 adventure-filled days, you’ll cross Incan ruins, turquoise lagoons and remote mountain passes, all in the company of a group of like-minded hikers.
This is adventure at its rawest: hiking ancient trails, enjoying exquisite Peruvian dishes, and camping in places where clouds drift through the trees. From the colorful and historic streets of Cusco to the legendary heights of Machu Picchu, our adventure dives straight into the heart of the Andes and its cloud forest.
This trip is not only about reaching Machu Picchu, but most importantly about the connections you'll build as you push each other to complete both the Ausangate and Inca Trail.
Upon arrival in Cusco, one of our representatives will pick you up and drive you to the hotel. Cusco is perched at 11.154 feet above sea level, so we will lead an acclimatization walk for those who want to start getting used to altitude and move their legs a little after the flight.
Avoid any alcohol tonight and try to hydrate as much as possible. You should also take it easy at dinner - digestion is slower at higher altitudes.
Today we're heading into the Sacred Valley, one of Peru's gems! With a quick transfer you make it to Chinchero, where you can enjoy an easy walk exploring the main viewpoints, terraces and plazas. If you want to walk a little bit more, choose to join an easy stroll at the turquoise Piuray Lagoon.
For lunch, we’ll treat you to a delicious Andean meal — full of local flavor and culture. And it’s not just the food that’ll impress you, the incredible views over Lake Piuray are just as awesome. Shortly after that, you hop on a private vehicle on your way to one of the trip's most impressive hotels, nestled in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Get your shoes ready, we're leaving the luxury of our hotel behind and hitting the trail! After an energising breakfast arrive in Upis, your starting point for the trek ahead. Today's hike is about 4-6 miles, traversing through vast pastures and uphills and enjoying some alpaca encounters, probably.
Once you reach camp, a hot drink will be waiting - the best way to wrap up your first trekking day. Do some stretching and, if the sky's clear, take in the views of the starlit sky.

An early rise ensures you have one of the most memorable days! Wake up early and start hiking to Rainbow Mountain, only 30 min away from camp. Arriving there at 6:30 am will be absolutely worth it, no crowds, no noise and the best light. Weather permitting, the snow-covered peaks of Ausangate, Mariposa, and Jatunhuma will make themselves visible. Enjoy the peace of having the mountains all to yourself and get some incredible pictures.
Afterwards, we descend for 1 hour approx, reach our car and start driving to the Sacred Valley. There'll be a stop at a restaurant to have some lunch, and we arrive at the hotel by midday.
Great views, a swimming pool and even a spa are at your disposal in this unique property. The day closes with a quick briefing on the Inca Trail hike that starts on the following day.

Today is long, but with less uphill and more Inca Ruins that make the journey unforgettable. The path unfolds among three remarkable Inca sites: Runkurakay, with its rare circular design, Sayacmarca, a fortress carved into the mountainside, and Phuyupatamarca, rising above the clouds. As you make your way along the trail, it feels like traveling back to ancient Incan days.
Later, the trail begins its descent into the lush cloud forest. Stone steps lead to Wiñay Wayna, a stunning complex of agricultural terraces and ritual baths clinging to the mountainside. Often considered one of the most beautiful sites on the trail, Wiñay Wayna feels suspended between sky and jungle. After a very active journey, the night is spent camping surrounded by the quiet pulse of the forest.

One final push before we make it to our goal. After an early start, the Sun Gate reveals Machu Picchu in all its glory, a powerful reward after all your efforts. Standing before this ancient wonder, the sense of accomplishment and awe is unbeatable. Our leader uncovers the history of this Incan site and you visit terraces, sacred temples, and intricate stonework to understand how the Incas built this city thousands of years ago. Overall, you'll get an idea of how this hidden citadel was both a royal retreat and a spiritual center.
After so many days of adventure, you’ll enjoy a bit of comfort aboard the Hiram Bingham train — a 3-hour ride with an open bar, live music, and dinner served onboard. Our stop is in Poroy, where we're catching a private bus to Cusco, for a well-deserved, comfortable night's sleep.
