Arrive anytime into Ottawa and transfer from the airport to hotel. Guests will be arriving at different times today. Get some rest tonight as we have an early morning flight the following day.

Arrive into Iqaluit and transfer from the airport to hotel where you will meet your fellow travellers and trip host. In the afternoon we will visit the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut.
Wake up and transfer to the Iqaluit airport. Make our way from Iqaluit to Pangnirtung, where we will be picked up and transferred to our hotel. Get to know the area and settle in for your next few days.

AM Today after an included breakfast, we are heading out to explore Auyuittuq National Park on a half day boat excursion and a local guide. A box lunch will be provided.
PM After returning from our boat excursion, we will enjoy an afternoon visit of the Uqqurmiut Centre tapestry studio, a stunning Inuit Art Facility. In the evening we return to our lodge and enjoy an included dinner.

Today after breakfast at our lodge, we explore the community of Pangnirtung.
Visit and tour of Angmarlik Visitor Centre, HBC Blubber Station and community artist interactions organized by our host.

Today after breakfast we transfer back to the airport for our flight to Iqaluit and on to Kinngait.
On arrival in Kinngait, transfer to our hotel and enjoy an included Dinner.

AM After enjoying an included breakfast we enjoy a half day guided boat excursion to Mallikjuaq Island.*
PM - After lunch we explore the Kenojuak Cultural Centre and enjoy some local artist visits.

Today we spend more time in the community enjoying Printmaking demonstrations and artist visits at the Kenojuak Cultural Centre. We will enjoy a final dinner in Kinngait and head back to the KCC for a special cultural evening.

This tour will be escorted by Dr. Darlene Coward Wight, who has been Curator of Inuit Art at the Winnipeg Art Gallery-Qaumajuq since 1986. From 1981–1985 she worked for Canadian Arctic Producers, the central marketing agency for Inuit-owned co-operatives in Nunavut. In those years she travelled to many communities providing artistic and marketing advice to artists and Inuit-owned co-operatives. Darlene has received a BA (Hons) in Art History and an MA in Canadian Studies from Carleton University and an honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Manitoba in 2012. She has curated 97 exhibitions and written 27 exhibition catalogues, as well as many smaller publications and articles. She is the editor and major contributor for the book Creation & Transformation: Defining Moments in Inuit Art. Her most recent exhibition and catalogue was Inuit Sanaugangit: Art Across Time (2023–February 2025)
